Naomi

Naomi was taken from junkies that wanted to breed her. Apparently, she had been used as a breeding female for a back-yard breeder in Columbia. Gunter at Pet Aid Columbia has been responsible for getting her to his Veterinarian as she has severe skin problems and needed a minimum of a 10 day stay. She is currently at the Vet for treatment.

Tony

Tony was in living with a homeless girl and people in the neighborhood were threatening his life. Manuela Hincapie was contacted to pick him up and take him to a Veterinarian. Tony needed his teeth cleaned and was neutered. He has been adopted and is very loved in his new home.

Rosita

A report came into Manuela Hincapie that a little bullie was abandoned in a field with skin problems. She was about 7 hours away from Manuela’s location. Rosita was taken to a Veterinarian for blood work and was found she had Erlicha Cannis. Since this condition was very contagious, she needed to be boarded until she was no longer contagious. Her skin condition continued to worsen, and a biopsy was needed to determine a diagnosis. Her disease was determined to be pemphigus foliaceus. This is an autoimmune disease which is a difficult disease to treat and very expensive. She will continue to have reoccurring episodes, but she is currently a very happy little girl who is very loved. Continuing donations for her care are always welcome️.

Mayo

Mayo was a Rescue Bull Terrier already placed in his forever home! Mayo had recurrent cancer and he required additional chemotherapy. His people needed assistance with his veterinarian bills. HBTW help an online Facebook Auction to raise the needed funds to help him. Mayo was such a courageous little man, alas he did lose his battle with his aggressive cancer.

Kate Moss

Kate Moss entered rescue and stayed with Maya Saldana. She had owners who were starving her and were not treating her health issues which were serious! When Maya picked up Kate, she was close to death, her blood glucose was high and out of control, she was blind and weighed 22lbs (10 kg). Currently Kate Moss leads a quiet life full of love and she continues to receive the insulin she so badly needs!

Coral

Little Coral was found with severe demodex. She was bleeding covered with scabs and no fur. She also needed to be dewormed and spaded. With help from Angela Alvarez, little Coral received the medicated bathes, oral medication and veterinary care she so desperately needed. HBTW was able to donate funds to help this little girl recover!

Marshall

Marshall is like any other mischievous bull terrier; he got into things that he was not supposed to. He has a loving family including a little girl who adores him. Marshall at something that lodged in his belly requiring emergency surgery, not something his family was prepared to handle. His family was faced with a tough decision because they could not afford the surgery. Luckily his family was referred to HBTW. We were able to work with Marshall’s vet to make payment arrangements for his family and made the initial down payment. Marshal recovered and is back snuggling with his little girl.

Gypsi Rose

Gypsi Rose was found in early February 2019 in shocking condition; with a muzzle on her face, a rope around her neck, and a t-shirt tied around her body. She had wasted away to a mere 20lbs when she should have been around 45lbs. She is thought to be around 10 years old and it is obvious that her life has been miserable, probably spent unloved and used for breeding. She stayed at the shelter for a little over a month where they were able to help her gain 15lbs. Some wounds on her skin were treated and treatment for her dry eye was started. She does have some visual and hearing impairment, but she navigates very well. She was taken into rescue from the shelter and after a few days of settling into her foster home, was taken to a vet. It was determined that she did have slightly elevated white blood cell count and the vet was concerned that there was a possibility of a uterine infection, called pyometra, brewing. Since all her tests were appropriate for surgery, she was approved to be spayed and have the mammary tumors on one side removed. Rose made it through surgery, but had a very slow recovery, which required her to spend a few days in the hospital for round the clock care. Now that Rose is all healed up from her surgery, she is looking for her forever home. She is easy going and cuddly; an absolute sweetheart that truly enjoys human attention. Despite all that she has endured, Rose still lets that classic joyful and silly Bull Terrier personality shine through; she even trances! She is calm and overall quiet, but not afraid to voice her opinion when she wants something. The remaining mammary masses will not be removed due to the others being benign and the fact she had such a hard recovery.
